Hawe Telekom prioritises research and development

Hawe Telekom has launched its research and development department 'R&D Lab 360.' Its aim is to develop and implement new, innovative products and services which may contribute to increasing the company's competitive edge, further expansion and, ultimately, higher incomes.

The growth of the R&D department has been defined as one of the key strategies of Hawe Telekom for the forthcoming years. 'R&D Lab 360' is a new unit which is a response to those needs and its objective is to work out and optimise new technological solutions in cooperation with institutes of higher education, start-ups, research units and other enterprises. Within Hawe Telekom's area of interest are: research and development projects which make use of the potential of 5G technology in telecommunication networks; improvements in own network security; and development of Industry 4.0 tools.

A a provider which delivers services to both Polish and foreign markets, we can see a huge potential of R&D activities that has already helped us implement interesting solutions based on our knowledge and resources. We should remember that when it comes to the telecommunication sector, it is not only the novelty of products and services that matters but also the speed in their implementation and commercialisation. I am convinced that our R&D department will give us actual sales results and profits, highlights Dominik Drozdowski, Vice-President of the Board in Hawe Telekom.

Within its R&D activities, Hawe Telekom has already established cooperation with leading Polish scientific centres whose field of interests includes modern technology solutions. The company also expands its set of good practices in innovative solutions by being present in branch-specific associations, such as: Cluster for Photonics and Fibre Optics, TM Forum, or ONF (Open Network Foundation).

At the moment Economy 4.0 causes revolutionary changes from the perspective of the ICT industry, business and an individual client. Thanks to our "R&D Lab 360" department and its role in the company strategy, we would like to be part of this global transformation.With other companies and institutes of higher education, we will implement interdisciplinary business projects based on our telecommunication services and will jointly discover the potential hidden in 5G, edge computing and Industry 4.0,'highlights Barbara Ożóg, Business Development Director in Hawe Telekom.
